One group, one process: where CAS Recruitment places skilled workers across Europe
From the west coast of Ireland to the fjords of Scandinavia, employers across Europe face the same problem. They need skilled people who arrive ready to work, settle well and stay. The shortage looks different in every country, and so do the rules. A food plant in the Midlands, a hotel on a Greek island and a processing line in the Nordic north each have their own permit system, their own climate and their own expectations of the people they hire.
CAS Recruitment Group was built for exactly that. This article sets out where we work, how the group is structured, and what employers and candidates can expect from a placement with us, wherever in Europe the role sits.
Where it began: the Philippines
The CAS Recruitment Group began in the Philippines, with the part purchase of FMW Human Resources International in Manila. That origin still shapes everything we do.
FMW is part of the CAS Recruitment Group. It is licensed by the Philippine authorities to deploy Filipino workers overseas, and it handles candidate identification, screening and the Department of Migrant Workers documentation that must be in place before anyone can travel. Every candidate is trade tested before they are put forward to an employer.
Because sourcing sits inside the group rather than with a third party, the standards applied in Manila are the same standards our offices answer for in Europe. There is no hand over between separate businesses, and no gap in accountability.
Where we work in Europe
United Kingdom
Our UK office in Sheffield supports employers across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. For many UK employers the first question is the sponsor licence. We confirm whether one is held and, if not, prepare and submit the application on the employer's behalf, then manage certificates of sponsorship, visa applications and arrival.
Ireland
From our Dublin office we support employers across the Republic of Ireland, including Cork, Limerick, Galway and Waterford. Irish recruitment from outside the European Economic Area runs through the employment permit system, which has its own eligibility rules and occupation lists. We work through those rules with the employer before any candidate is shortlisted.
Greece
CAS Recruitment has two offices in Athens and three more across the main Greek islands. That spread matters. Hospitality, tourism and food businesses on the islands often recruit to tight seasonal timetables, and having people on the ground close to those employers makes planning, arrivals and welfare far easier to manage.
Cyprus
Three offices across Cyprus, in Limassol, Nicosia and Larnaca, give the group more than three decades of experience in the Cypriot market, with a dedicated team handling permits and arrivals.
Scandinavia and the Nordic countries
Nordic employers increasingly look beyond their own labour markets for dependable people who can work in demanding conditions, from long winters to remote sites. CAS Recruitment places skilled workers with employers in Scandinavia, applying the same assessment, documentation and welfare standards as everywhere else in the group.
One process, wherever the role sits
Every European country runs its own permit system. That is where international recruitment most often goes wrong: in the gaps between the licence, the visa, the flight and the first shift. CAS Recruitment holds all five stages of a placement, so nothing falls between them.
Licensing. We confirm what the employer needs to sponsor or employ an overseas worker in that country, and prepare the application where required.
Sourcing and assessment. Candidates are screened, trade tested and interviewed against the actual job, not a generic title.
English and exams. Where a role requires a language standard, we prepare candidates for the relevant test and see the result through.
Visa and relocation. Permits, government documentation and travel are managed end to end.
Welfare. Accommodation and support are arranged before travel, and we stay in contact through the first weeks.
No worker pays a fee at any stage. Documentation is verified rather than taken on trust. These are not marketing lines. They are what makes a placement hold for years rather than weeks.
The sectors we cover
The same process applies across seven sectors:
Construction and trades
Engineering and manufacturing
Logistics and transport
Farm and dairy
Food processing and production
Hospitality and catering
Nurses and carers
Whatever the trade, the candidate is assessed against the job the employer actually needs doing before a profile is ever shared. In the UK, farm and dairy roles are filled by experienced workers already in the country on a current sponsored visa.
For employers
If you are hiring in the UK, Ireland, Greece, Cyprus or Scandinavia, the starting point is simple. Tell us the roles, the volume and the start date. You will receive a plain answer on whether the roles can be filled, which route applies and how long it will take, before any paperwork begins.
From there, you deal with one group and one process. Sponsor licence support, trade testing and compliance documentation for your own records come as standard, and our local offices remain your point of contact once the worker has arrived.
For candidates
If you are a skilled worker considering a move to Europe, CAS Recruitment will tell you honestly what a role involves before you commit. You will need experience you can evidence, a valid passport and, where the role requires it, a working standard of English.
You will never be asked to pay a recruitment fee. You will know who your employer is, where you will live and what support is in place before you travel. For candidates in the Philippines, that process starts with FMW in Manila, part of the CAS Recruitment Group.
